Updated News: One of the best things is that All About The Tea recently posted a nice blog about how Meri Brown "victim fans" are taking to harassing and bullying others via Twitter in order to support their beloved sister wife. Here's a link to the article. You'll see how Meri is using Twitter to cozy up to the trolls (twats as I like to call them), and supports online bullying in the same quick post. Congrats Meri!
The story is one of online legend. It’s confusing to follow with many twists and turns, “truth warriors” on Twitter bullying, Jackie Overton using the notbatmanyet.com blog to continue to assert SHE is indeed a HE (Samuel Cooper) – hard to follow, to be honest. Meri Brown was the first and only legal wife of Kody Brown. They are featured in six season of TLC’s “Sister Wives”. Meri is the one kind of known as a bully toward some of the other “wives”. We’ve watched season after season (I think they’re going into season seven next fall) where Robyn Brown, Kody’s younger wife (newest wife) has taken the place of dear old Meri. So much so that Kody legally divorced Meri and married Robyn – “for the kids” (the story was the divorce was done so Kody could adopt three biological children of Robyn from a previous marriage). I felt sad for Meri when the catfish story started to surface through the internet because I felt she was in a vulnerable place having lost her “legal” husband, her daughter off at college, and no other children to occupy her time. She began chatting on Twitter with Jackie Overton who was not very convincingly pretending to be a 42 year old millionaire dude who happened to have a private jet (or three if I remember correctly) and own “five” businesses. Oh, he was also “really really good looking” and apparently a vegan (snark!) “Samuel Cooper” used the Twitter handle: notbatmanyet to lure Meri into her web of lies and blackmail for months. While unbeknownst to the Twittersphere Meri moved the ‘relationship’ off of just Twitter onto phone calls, texts, picture messages, and attempts to meet Sam in person at Disney World and other locations throughout Utah and Nevada. “Sam” was so in love with Meri that he was kind enough to save supposed text messages, voicemails, and pictures that were sent to him from Meri. He loved her so much he decided that once she stopped talking to him (she had found out that Jackie Overton was pretending to be this guy Sam), he took to his notbatmanyet.com blog and decided to release private pictures, several heartfelt voicemails, and doctored text messages from Meri in an attempt to prove that not only did he really love Meri – they had a sexual affair, don’t you know? Why won’t you believe? Oh, is it because Samuel Cooper and his ever-involved psychotic drunk assistant Lindsay Jackson don’t really exist? Yah, that’s probably why. They started their little affair quite publicly with flirting Tweets via Twitter for months. People on Twitter noticed the flirting and some were cheering Meri on since she’d ‘left Kody’ and was focusing on herself. Some people were hopeful this millionaire playboy (self-declared) was a real person and Meri would leave the CULT-DE-SAC she lived in with the Sister Wives cast (aka her family) and run off with batboy. Sam claims to be best friends with his butch-looking assistant Lindsay Jackson. Lindsay is so above all the drama and fame that she pretends to be a hacker and threatens people who use his blog or Twitter to speak out about Sam not being real. She also was heavily involved in this so-called relationship between Meri and Sam. Now if I was having an affair on my husband, even if it was only online, I don’t see why I would involve my co-worker/best friend in any of it. I wouldn’t have her/him go and meet my new flame (which is what Sam had Lindsay supposedly do, that’s why pictures exist at Meri’s house and Disney World with this ‘Lindsay’ person). Lindsay really is JACKIE OVERTON. That’s the best part, she can’t hide the fact that they are physically the same person, although she denied to InTouch Weekly when confronted with photo evidence in October, 2015 that she was Lindsay and Jackie Overton. She claims to the reporter she’s actually Ka-Kelsey-Casey Williams. The affair ended because Meri decided she didn’t want to invest more bananas in a woman named Jackie from Shidler, Oklahoma. The public demanded via Twitter and through the news outlets that Meri and the TLC production company please go ahead and address the voice mails released by Jackie Overton and everything else the public had witnessed. Finally Meri came forward to People magazine and claimed to have had an emotional affair with a woman pretending to be a man (paraphrasing here sweeties). Okay, what the hell does that mean? Meri admitted she was catfished by ‘this person’ and during the Tell All claims that she was told to say all the stuff she said in the voicemails. She was directed to emotionally and very convincingly tell this “Sam” that she loved him and compared to Kody “Sam” would win every time? I’m not buying that story Meri, but if someone seems to think that part is true I guess good for you. You’re a better actress than I had suspected. Well the newest drama is that "Sam Cooper" aka Jackie Overton is now selling a supposed e-book (you have to pre-order it via PayPal hahaha) called "Almost Meri'd" and still pretending that Sam is a real live dude and supposedly Meri and Sam had all this sex. No one believes most of this. Jackie Overton is really not letting her fake creation (Sam) go, which is confusing because she won't be able to con under this guise anymore but she keeps trying. The e-book is being sold via notbatmanyet.com for $6.00 (you must pay via PayPal though). There's no book, we all know that. Jackie just can't let the "fame" of catfishing Meri Brown go. Or the fact that Sam isn't a real person. It's actually somewhat sad. |
